Why I need the iSTEPup Foundation
Being a female pursing my dreams as a health practitioner in a country like Sierra Leone, is very challenging. As there are a lot of obstacles that try to hinder our progress starting from, peer group influence and early marriage. How ever I overcame those challenge to reach this point, and now being accepted to this study. But I find it difficult to continue my education, mostly due to the status of my parents. They have many mouths to feed with just a small income.
I decided to the program since already a year has passed without being enrolled into to the college due to finical constraints. Having this scholarship will help me to achieve my dreams as a health practitioner due to the fact that my parents cannot afford to pay my school fee. In starting will avoid me to be forced into early marriage.
I want to become a nurse because I want to assist patients by administrating medicine or dressing their wounds. Also, my success will hopefully be a good example for my siblings and friends.
Thanks
